Kim Bouvy

As an artist, working with photography and text, I am mostly focussing on the contemporary ‘Condition Urbaine’. In my work, I explore the way our often urban surroundings are perceived and valued and how that again is being reflected in our visual culture and architecture and urbanism. I regard both image and text to be part of a common language, that tries to describe the spaces that we inhabit.
My fascination for the possibilities of endless reproduction of a photographic image and secondly how images interact with words, is being reflected in the prominent role printed matter has in many of my projects.

Beside my own projects, I also work as a free lance curator, producer and organisor in the fields of photography, architecture and the visual arts in general.
